"Patagonia Chile" The new bilingual tourism magazine

libro patagonia

The magazine Patagonia Chile is on the verge of being published. This magazine is written in both Spanish and English, and covers topics relating to the area from Valdivia to Antarctica, in other words, the entirety of Chilean Patagonia. The idea was born when its creator, journalist Peter J. Neilson, noticed that many tourists were approaching newsstands in Puerto Montt, asking for information about Patagonia, and the only thing they were offered was an Argentine magazine covering only the province of Santa Cruz.

After a survey and feasibility study, the interview and reporting stage began, producing interesting and attractive articles. The first issue will be released in August.

"The idea is to show the world what our Patagonia is like, its tourist attractions, people, cuisine, culture and everything else related to this vast territory, in addition to a variety of useful information for readers, such as lodging, where to find food, transportation, museums, national parks and much more," explained the journalist.

Patagonia Chile will be published twice a month and will cover a variety of topics. The first issue will include topics such as: "Puerto Montt, the gateway to Patagonia;" "Puerto Varas;" "Cruises;" "Patagonian Cuisine;" "Aysén Parks," "The Austral Route;" "Torres del Paine;" "Sport Fishing in Patagonia," "Whales;" "Tourism, a university degree;" "Tourist news;" and many more.

The magazine in sponsored by the Municipality of Puerto Montt and has the collaboration of international chef Jorge "Coco" Pacheco, who divulges a delicious typical Patagonia recipe.

Patagonia Chile is filled with beautiful photographs (many taken by our professional photographer Luis Alfredo Arenas). It will be distributed in magazine stands, bookstores, hotels, travel agencies, Sernatur offices and municipalities, airports, libraries and domestic airlines. Internationally, it will be distributed at the main Chilean embassies worldwide, travel agencies and tourism operators, as well as on cruises that bring visitors to our country.

The magazine will be published and distributed by publisher C & C Comunicaciones, according to a joint venture agreement with its creator, journalist Peter J. Neilson, who is its director and editor. .
